"Dr. Bernhard Kreber can do the impossible. INZ initially did not want to approve our application. However, through a lot of research, case studies and additional documentation, Dr. Kreber managed to get the visa approved. Thank you for all your hard work, we truly appreciate it!"

VISA APPLICATIONS

Applying for a New Zealand visa is not as simple as it may look. We have the experience to make your visa application a success. We will guide you through your visa options and answer all your questions. You will receive clear and timely advice, so you know what is needed for a successful visa outcome. If you are thinking about applying for a temporary (work, student, visitor) or permanent (residence) visa, we are here to help. You may have already applied for a New Zealand visa, but Immigration New Zealand has notified you about issues with your visa application. If this is the case, you need to act fast. Unless you respond quickly and address all issues that have been raised, your visa application will be declined. At BK Immigration Law New Zealand, we have the knowledge, experience and advocacy skills to help you overcome this hurdle. We have successfully won battles for many clients, and are here to help you too.

SEEKING RESIDENCY?

Seeking residency in New Zealand can feel like walking through a minefield, as there are many rules that may apply to you.

RESIDENCE APPEALS

Many migrants are coming to New Zealand hoping to get residence sometime in the future. Applying for residence is complicated, and it can take one year or longer before your application is assessed. You may even need to reapply for a new visa so you can stay in New Zealand while waiting to hear from Immigration New Zealand. After all that, you may then find out that your application was unsuccessful. However, Immigration New Zealand does not always get it right. You have a right to appeal your case to the Immigration and Protection Tribunal if you believe that your application was wrongly decided. Keep in mind that you only have limited time to appeal the decision.

To be successful with an appeal, we need to point out the errors that were made when deciding your visa application and show how these errors affected the outcome of your case. At BK Immigration Law New Zealand, we give you clear and honest legal advice whether your case merits an appeal so you can make an informed decision.

DEPORTATION APPEALS

You may be a non-resident, resident or permanent resident and are facing deportation from New Zealand. There are different reasons why you can be deported. For example, your visa has expired, or you have a valid visa but broke the law (which can be as simple as committing a traffic offence). You may have simply breached a visa condition like changing the employer or location contrary to what is stated on your visa.

If you received a deportation liability notice from Immigration New Zealand, then you have a right to appeal to Immigration and Protection Tribunal.  Keep in mind, all appeals must be filed within a short time frame. Your appeal may be allowed if you can demonstrate that you have exceptional circumstances. Exceptional circumstances are not just separation from your family. This means your circumstances must be well outside of what is the norm. If you are facing deportation, we advise that you contact us without delay. We have a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of immigration law.
